'Never Lost A Race': Indian-American Republican Nikki Haley Hints At Running In 2024 US Presidential Elections

• The former ambassador to the United Nations also said that President Joe Biden may not get a second term as US President

The political heat is rising in the United States around the 2024 presidential elections as Indian-American Republican leader Nikki Haley on Thursday said she could be the "new leader" to take America forward. The former ambassador to the United Nations also said that President Joe Biden may not get a second term as US President.

In an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Nikki Haley announced that she plans to run in the 2024 US presidential election.

"Well, when you're looking at a race for president, you look at two things. You look first, 'Does the current situation push for a new one?' The second question is, 'Am I the person who can be that new leader?' You know, on the first question, you can look at domestic, and foreign policy. You see, you know, inflation is rising, the economy is shrinking, government is getting bigger, you know, small business owners aren't going to be able to pay their rent. Big businesses getting these bailouts, all of these things warrant that, yes, we need to go in a new direction," Haley said.

"So do I think I can be that leader? Yeah, but we're still working through things and we'll figure it out. I've never lost a race. I said then I will now I also say. I'm not going to lose now," she added.

Haley has served as the governor of South Carolina and very proudly claims that she changed the state. He said he took a state that was hurting and made it the "Beast of the Southeast".

Haley served as the US ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018, during the initial two years of Donald Trump's presidency. He claims that during his time at the United Nations he "took the world to task when they tried to insult us."

Haley resigned from the Trump administration in 2018, announcing that she was out of positions of governor or ambassador. If she sticks to her decision to run, Haley will face Donald Trump in the GOP primary.

Donald Trump has announced his third bid for the White House in November.
