Elon Musk captioned an image of two gnus (wildebeest) with human limbs on X with the satirical message, "Fake GNUS." He even provided the X report from The Wall Street Journal.

His remarks follow The Wall Street Journal's claim, which cited individuals familiar with the situation, that Musk intends to donate USD 45 million monthly to a brand-new super political action committee that is backing Trump's bid for president.

According to one of the persons, America PAC was established in June with the goal of registering voters, encouraging voters to cast early votes, and requesting mail-in ballots in battleground states.

The group noted the money that the Biden campaign has committed to alleged "on-the-ground" activities in swing states and evaluated that traditionally, the Democrats have run extremely effective "get out the vote" campaigns. The Wall Street Journal Street claims that America PAC will make an effort to refute that.

At now, Musk holds the title of the wealthiest person in the world, with an estimated net worth over $250 billion. According to some of the persons acquainted with the situation, America PAC has been recruiting staff members in order to further its operations, and it has also been registering voters, conversing with voters in swing states, and encouraging voters to submit requests for mail-in votes, the report said.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that America PAC received USD 8.75 million in donations over the three-month period that concluded on June 30.

Elon Musk said earlier in March in a post on X that he has no intention of contributing to the campaigns of US President Joe Biden or Donald Trump. However, according to The Wall Street Journal, the Tesla CEO and Donald Trump have become closer in recent months.

After a gunman attempted to kill the former US President at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Musk openly declared his support for the presidential candidate.

As Musk put it in a post on X, "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery." "Theodore Roosevelt was the last American candidate this tough," he said in a later post.

On Saturday, when Trump was speaking at a campaign event, bullets were fired, causing Secret Service members to rush the stage.

Trump claimed that the bullet had perforated the top portion of his right ear hours after the incident. In addition, a gunshot during the demonstration claimed the life of one rally participant and wounded two others.

The shooter, identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, is still being investigated in this case.
