The runway's reopening was supposed to happen on January 19th, however some "unexpected technical issues" prevented the system integration from going through.


Additionally, DIAL said that on January 26, the airport's recently built fourth runway will meet CAT III standards.


The operator of the Delhi airport, DIAL, said on Saturday that Runway 28/10 renovations are now complete.


Final preparations are in place for the technical integration of Runway RWY 10/28, or the second runway, and they should be finished very soon, according to a release. Fog-related poor visibility circumstances have had a major influence on aviation operations in recent weeks. Amidst this context, concerns were also expressed over RWY 10/28's non-operationality.
