Texas is the most sought-after location for Indian FDI capital investment and jobs created in the US, according to estimates from the Indian industry. Over the past ten years, Indian companies have invested US$1.4 billion in capital through 59 projects in Texas, creating over 10,300 jobs in the process.

Twenty-eight percent of US exports to India come from Texas. "As the world's eighth-largest economy as well as home to a highly skilled and growing workforce, Texas offers many possibilities for business expansion as well as investment through our global partners," Abbott said.
