On Sunday, October 29, at 11 a.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country in the 106th edition of his monthly radio show "Mann Ki Baat," which will air on Doordarshan and Akashvani.

Following the Hindi streaming, PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat will air in regional languages on the Akashvani channel.

"Check us out at 11 AM today! PM Modi posted on X, previously Twitter, "#MannKiBaat."

A Special Research Report titled "9 Years of Mann Ki Baat: Transforming People, Policies & Governance" from the Economic Department of the State Bank of India states that Mann Ki Baat was instrumental in popularizing a number of government initiatives.

The paper states that increasing knowledge of government programs such as PM Mudra, SVANidhi, Sukanya Samriddhi, Jan Dhan accounts, as well as Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) has led to a gradual uptake of these programs.

The study went on to say that involvement and empowerment of women in these kinds of programs had increased.

"There has been a sharp jump in regular searches in the schemes once it became available in the course of Jeevan ki Baat addresses," the research said.

Mann Ki Baat was launched by Prime Minister Modi on October 3, 2014, and it airs on Doordarshan and All India Radio on the last Sunday of each month at 11 a.m.

Even though there are many digital communication options available, the PM went with radio since All India Radio (AIR) is one of the biggest broadcasting networks in the world. 92.0% of the nation is covered by air, providing coverage to 99.20% of the people.

Mann Ki Baat is frequently listened to by up to 23 crore people and sporadically by an additional 41 crore people. According to the research, the majority of listeners (about 73%) are upbeat and believe the nation will advance.
