A male NPS account holder may designate his spouse, kids, parents, partner, or the widow of his departed son as a nominee in accordance with PEDRA regulations. On the other hand, a woman might designate as nominees in the account her spouse, kids, parents, in-laws, son's widow, and offspring. It's important to remember that the owner of the NPS account has the freedom to change the nominee's name at any time. There is no upper limit on this. Upon updating the new nominee's name, the previous name will be instantly revoked.

Changing a nominee in an NPS account:

To edit the nomination in the NPS account, go to https://cra-nsdl.com/CRA/, the official website.

Click the Demographic Changes option, which will appear next.

You then have the option to modify your personal information.

Here, choose the confirm option under the Add/Update Nomination option.

After that, finish the nomination process by choosing your NPS tier choice here.

The nominee's name, relationship, birthdate, and any other pertinent details must then be updated.

The registered nominee's portion of the fund will also need to be entered after that.

Enter the OTP that appears on the phone associated with your NPS account.

After that, you will need to continue signing digitally, and an OTP will appear on the phone. 

connected to your Aadhaar, please enter it again.

Your NPS nomination will be finalized after the OTP verification process is finished.
