Although the Moon will reach the penumbra at midnight on October 28, the umbral phase will begin early on October 29.
Will India be able to see the partial lunar eclipse?
According to a PIB press release, eclipse viewers will be able to see the eclipse in the Western Pacific Ocean, Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, Eastern South America, North Eastern America, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, and South Pacific Ocean. Around midnight, everyone of India will be able to see the partial lunar eclipse. On October 29, the eclipse's umbral phase will start at 1 hr. 05 min. IST and terminate at 2 hr. 24 m. IST. The eclipse will last 1 hour and 19 minutes and have a relatively low magnitude of 0.126.
When will there be another lunar eclipse?
The following lunar eclipse, a total lunar eclipse, will be observed from India on September 7, 2025, according to a PIB release. When the whole moon passes completely within the umbral shadow of the Earth, a total lunar eclipse will take place. The last complete lunar eclipse, which was seen in India on November 8, 2022.
