You may now share HD videos on WhatsApp

WhatsApp now allows you to exchange high quality movies, just to how you can send and receive HD pictures. However, the resolution is just 720p.

Sharing HD videos is a feature that WhatsApp is currently introducing. The instant messaging service announced a new feature a week ago that allows users to share high-resolution photographs to others and that it will soon be expanded to include films.

The platform, which is owned by Meta, just informed TechCrunch that users on both Android and iOS are now able to transmit and receive HD films.

The HD video function may be turned on when you are going to share the video with others, much to how high-definition pictures are sent. Prior to today, users could only enable the 480p option for videos on the site.

When uploading a video, touch the "HD" button at the top of the screen to see the choice to share in "HD Quality," along with the corresponding file size.

Videos are similarly shielded by end-to-end encryption provided by WhatsApp as are texts, calls, and photos. Looking at the little "HD" label on the bottom left of the message thumbnail will allow you to see any HD videos that have been sent to you.

According to WhatsApp, the option to share HD movies is now rolling out to all users; if it isn't yet accessible on your device, it should be in the coming days.

The business revealed a number of new capabilities for the instant messaging applications this month, including the capacity to share the screen during video conversations, voice chats in groups, the option to amend received media captions, and the capacity to establish groups without names, to name a few.
