Roastea plans to invest Rs 100 crore and deploy 5,000 vending machines


Roastea, a beverage business, plans to have 5,000 vending machines and a Rs 100 crore annual revenue by 2024–2025.


By 2024–2025, the beverage firm Roastea plans to have 5,000 vending machines and a Rs 100 crore annual revenue. 


According to a corporate statement, the business of tea and coffee vending machines "will constitute a single of the key drivers of growth for the company, and itaims to roll out more than one thousand such machines this year, totaling to 2,500 machines."


By 2024–2025, Roastea hopes to create 40 cafés, put 5,000 vending machines across corporate buildings, and launch the company.


Roastea, which has been profitable from its beginning, said it aspires to attain a revenue of Rs 100 crore by FY25.


Modern vending machines with IoT (Internet of Things) capabilities are made in Roastea's own contracted factory with a focus on businesses.


They may serve over 20 beverages at once and provide fresh milk-based drinks with a special variety of filter coffee and Indian masala chai.


Anurag Bhamidipaty, a co-founder of Roastea, stated that the firm's vending machine division "performs very well and acts as the key growth driver for the company. In fact, both Indian and foreign businesses are quickly gaining market share from our vending machines, which are outperforming rivals.


Bhamidipaty predicts that there will be a high demand for these vending machines as many businesses make the switch to a nearly complete return to the office.


Large international banks, business groups, and a variety of sectors have hosted demonstrations of Roastea's technology.


Our vending machines are renowned for their adaptability, superb taste, and first-rate service, he continued.


Additionally, Roastea is creating chai machines exclusively for MSME and home markets in India and beyond.


By FY26, the firm from Ahmedabad hopes to have 7,500 vending machines installed all around India.


In addition, Bhamidipaty is concentrating on the B2C market and intends to establish 70 cafés by FY26. 


Our cafe and outlet offerings are unique in terms of both the cuisine and coffee. We run our cafes as informal dining establishments, offering clients a variety of tea and coffee options as well as specifically curated culinary products that are unavailable elsewhere," he continued.


Roastea plans to raise around Rs 20 crore in FY24 through a combination of stock, internal accruals, and loans to pay for the growth.


The business has previously gotten finance from HNIs through stock and equity-linked sources totaling about Rs 12–13 crore.


Anurag and Chaitanya Bhamidipaty, entrepreneurs who had formerly practised law, founded Roastea in Ahmedabad in 2019. Currently, it has more than 1,000 vending machines serving more than 350 consumers dispersed over 17 Indian cities.
