During the ED's probe into money laundering in the land scam, shocking facts have surfaced in Ranchi. The ED broke a significant forgery ring, and as part of the investigation, they also detained former Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan. After receiving court approval, the Ranchi police resumed their investigation into the case after the ED discovered forgeries in it.




Ranchi: During the ED's probe into money laundering in the land scam, shocking facts have surfaced in Ranchi. 


A significant forgery ring was broken by the ED, and Chhavi Ranjan, a former deputy commissioner of Ranchi, was detained as a result of an inquiry.


By registering the ECIR in case number 399/22, which was filed on September 8, 2022, at the Sadar police station in Ranchi in the matter of the fraudulent sale and purchase of one acre of land on Cheshire Home Road, the ED discovered forgery during the course of the investigation into the land scam.


The Sadar police had previously dismissed the case without conducting an investigation, claiming a small land dispute, and had provided a closure report to the court.


The Ranchi police resumed their investigation into this case when the ED discovered forgery in it after taking


The charge sheet is also being prepared by Ranchi police

The Ranchi police will soon submit a charge sheet in this case that includes sections pertaining to forgery. Ranchi police officers have practically amassed this proof with ED's assistance.


This case has been proven to be accurate under the forgery sections during the police's second inquiry. In the second FIR relating to this crime that Ranchi police lodged in Sadar police station, they also have a sufficient amount of supporting material.


In connection with this case, representatives of Ranchi Police visited the jail with ED agents and recorded the detained revenue sub-inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad of Bargain zone's statement.


Soon, Ranchi police will interview some more arrested suspects. The Ranchi Police's top officials are keeping an eye on this situation.


Politicians are close to Vishnu Agarwal

Vishnu Aggarwal, the owner of Nucleus Mall who was arrested in the land scam, is still being questioned by the ED while he is being held on remand. On Wednesday, the seventh day of the detention, Vishnu Aggarwal was questioned and admitted to having a close relationship with certain other politicians.


Additionally, he disclosed to the ED how his firm has benefited from his connections and proximity. He has provided the ED with specific information on his collaborators in the matter of the illicit sale and purchase of land. The ED has taken further action as a result of this.
