Joto Pahan alias Somnath was detained by Ranchi police after being accused of shooting a paddy merchant in the Bundu neighbourhood and robbing him of Rs 2.5 lakh. There are two other suspects in this case, according to Bundu SDPO Ajay Kumar, on whom search operations are being undertaken. The suspect admitted during questioning that he had heard the businessman goes to the store every day with cash.

Two other suspects have had their names given to the police. According to the police, both will be taken into custody soon.
