Dhanbad: A closed home in Saraidhela had jewellery valued at thousands of rupees as well as $70,000 in cash

The entire family has travelled to Kolkata for medical care, and police have begun an inquiry based on information from the nephew, Dhanbad: Following a night of looting in Barwaadda, the thieves made a mockery of the police force by carrying out a significant robbery from a locked home in the Shakti Vihar Colony, near the Saraidhela police station, on Friday night, July 14.

Surendra Kumar Singh, a resident of Shakti Vihar Colony, had travelled to Kolkata with his entire family for medical attention. Taking advantage of this, the thieves cut the lock, entered the home, and fled with millions of dollars' worth of jewellery and cash.

On the morning of Saturday, July 15, Surendra Kumar Singh's neighbours informed him of the occurrence. Manish Kumar, his nephew, then arrived on the scene and reported the event to Saraidhela police station. When they arrived, the police started their own investigation. Manish Kumar said that his uncle Surendra Kumar Singh, a former BCO, had left his home and travelled to Kolkata for cancer treatment.
