Weather update: Today's forecast calls for rain in 30 states, with the IMD issuing a red signal for Uttarakhand


Today's weather update: Most of the country has now experienced an advance of the monsoon. Today's rainfall in Odisha and Uttarakhand is expected to be extremely heavy. Uttarakhand has received a red alert. Today, isolated areas over Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, the Konkan, Goa, and Chhattisgarh may experience heavy to very heavy rain.


In Delhi. The majority of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh have now seen the onset of the rainfall. The following two days will see ideal circumstances for the monsoon to move further in Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, the majority of Maharashtra, the rest of Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh, Delhi, comprising parts of Haryana, Gujarat, East Rajasthan, and Punjab.


On June 25, IMD predicts that there may be isolated areas of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and Odisha. Uttarakhand has received a red warning due to the heavy rains. Today, isolated areas over Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, the Konkan, Goa, and Chhattisgarh may experience heavy to very heavy rain. Separate rains were also seen in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Punjab, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe. A lot of rain is predicted in some areas.


For today's heavy rains across Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, IMD has issued an Orange Alert. Over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, East Rajasthan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana & Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal today, thunderstorms with lightning are extremely possible.


Squally winds with gusts up to 65 kmph are expected today across the west central and southwest, adjacent east centrally Arabian Sea, Gulf of Mannar, along and off the coast of northwest Andhra Pradesh, and adjacent west central Bay of Bengal. There's a chance that a strong wind will be coming from. Squally weather with winds of 40 to 45 kmph is quite possible along and off the coastlines of Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, the Lakshadweep area, the southwest and adjacent southeast Bay of Bengal, along and off the coast of Sri Lanka, and the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal. There is a chance to go as fast as 50 km/h. Fishermen have been cautioned against visiting these locations.
