PM Modi's trip to Egypt: Today, PM Modi will pay respects to Indian soldiers at the War Memorial and visit Al-Hakimi Mosque


PM Narendra Modi in Egypt: PM Narendra Modi started his trip by meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouli and senior cabinet members to discuss advancing trade relations and the strategic alliance. The Prime Minister also spoke with individuals from the diaspora and the Dawoodi Bohra community, as well as Dr. Shawki Ibrahim Abdel-Karim Allam, Egypt's Grand Mufti.


Cairo. Sunday will be quite busy for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Cairo on Saturday for a two-day state visit to Egypt. He'll start by going to the Al Hakeem Mosque. After that, PM Modi will pay respects to the approximately 4000 Indian troops who lost their lives in the First World War at the Heliopolis War Memorial. The two nations will thereafter hold delegation-level talks and sign multiple agreements in addition to Prime Minister Modi's bilateral discussions with Egyptian President Al Fateh Al Sisi. On Saturday, PM Modi travelled to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, where he met with Mustafa Madbouli, a counterpart, and other top cabinet officials to discuss expanding trade relations and the strategic alliance between Egypt and India. In response to Egyptian President El-Sisi's invitation, Prime Minister Modi is in Egypt. An Indian prime minister hasn't travelled to Egypt on a bilateral basis in 26 years.
