Andhra Pradesh to host investment drive to attract businesses, investors

 

Andhra has the highest double digit GSDP growth rate of 11.43% in the country in 2021-22. It also has maritime infrastructure, as it is India's gateway to South-East Asia, with a coastline of 974 km, which is the second longest in the country, 6 existing ports and 4 upcoming ports.

New Delhi: As part of its efforts to attract businesses and investors in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Global Investment Summit (GIS) 2023, Andhra Pradesh will host an investment drive in Mumbai on February 20. The event held in Mumbai will follow on from the successful events held in Chennai. and Bengaluru which were preceded by a curtain raiser event in the national capital

The Investment Drive in Mumbai is designed to give businesses and investors a glimpse of the opportunities available in Andhra Pradesh. The upcoming summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on March 3-4 will showcase the state's strong industrial base, strong presence of MSMEs and startups, and investor-friendly environment under the theme "Advantages of Andhra Pradesh - Where Abundance Meets Prosperity".

Andhra Pradesh is widely regarded as a major player in the Indian economy due to its vast manufacturing base, impressive infrastructure, business-friendly policies and skilled and talented youth population.

GIS will provide in-depth analysis of important industries such as IT, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, tourism and energy. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect with key investors, influential industry leaders and government officials, as well as explore the diverse investment opportunities available throughout the state.

In the Mumbai investment campaign, Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister G. Amarnath, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister B. Rajendranath, APIIC President Mettu Govinda Reddy, APIDC President Bandi Shivshakthi Nagendra Punyashila and other dignitaries.

The campaign will allow businesses and investors to network with key decision makers and discover investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. The event will include keynote speeches from industry leaders and government officials on investment opportunities in the state.

Andhra Pradesh has consistently ranked first in Ease of Doing Business for the last three years, which is significant as the survey is based on stakeholder feedback.

As per the data released thus far, the country had the highest double digit GSDP growth rate in 2021-22 at 11.43%. It also has maritime infrastructure, as it is India's gateway to the southeast, with a coastline of 974 km, which is the second longest in the country, 6 existing ports and 4 upcoming ports. It has a favorable business climate and industry-oriented policies, as well as a proactive government guiding the state.

Three out of 11 industrial corridors of the country are being built in Andhra Pradesh. To name a few, the state has received Leeds Award for Logistics 2022, Inertia Award for Energy 2022, ET Award for Port Leeds and Infrastructure Project 2022.
