As the second season of Shark Tank India has started and the pitches have started. The show is based on the popular concept of the show of the same name - Shark Tank USA. It launched its first season in December last year.

Apart from Namita and Vinita, last season's sharks Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal are also a part of this season, along with new shark Amit Jain on the panel. In the latest season, Bansal of Lenskart and Anupam Mittal, Founder of Shadi.com, get into an argument over Vineet Saraiwala investing in Atypical Advantage.

Piyush wanted to do a solo deal while Anupam, who was doing a joint deal with Namita and Aman, wanted Piyush to join them.

so what happened here

Vineet Saraiwala, founder of Atypical Advantage, lobbied for his company. His company provides employment opportunities to people with disabilities. He claims that his company is India's largest inclusive platform for providing opportunities to the disabled. Vineet himself is handicapped and has retinitis pigmentosa, a condition where he loses his sight over the years.

Talking about his idea to start the company, he said that it started during the covid lockdown and he was getting CVs about jobs from his community. He said that he himself left his company and started his corporate journey with Atypical Advantage.

How was our Shark Tank pitch?
I can only be grateful to all the Sharks for showing so much love and warmth to Atypical Advantage and want to say, "I love you all with my deepest respect.

Vineet claims that his motive for this platform is because the top job hiring companies are not accessible to a person with disabilities. They say that the company they tie up with pays them a monthly retainer package that includes disability sensitization, post-placement, job mapping, counseling, interview scheduling and sign language support.

Talking about their revenue, the company earns around ₹8 lakh monthly. He said that apart from the monthly subscription, the company also provides placement feed.

He says the platform has over 1000 inclusive artworks, 500 performing artists, 140 artists on commission and also focuses on inclusive recruitment. In return from the shark, he asks for ₹30 lakh for 1% equity.

After his pitch, Anupam, Aman and Namita offer him ₹30 lakh for 4 percent equity.

Piyush says that his sister who is a CA by profession is also particularly capable, so the cause is close to him. However, he offers her ₹1 crore for 12 per cent equity, but on the condition that she will be the only one to invest and get a seat at the table. Piyush explains the reason saying that Vineet has many advisors on the board.

On the other hand, Anupam tries to convince Vineet that he has expertise in classifieds platforms. Vineet tries to bring all the sharks together with offers of ₹45 lakhs from Piyusha and Anupam and ₹15 lakhs from Aman and Namita.

But Piyush sticks to his plan to remain a sole investor, though offers him ₹1 crore for 10 percent equity. This bothers Anupam and he tells Vineet that "maybe he (Piyush) wants to deal for some other reason which he knows best." He also says, "You said you never make deals when so many people are involved but you've done it. In the past, so don't say that.

Piyush said, "Stop giving importance to someone's personality." Anupam replies, "So don't be the Big Boss here. You just want to be a hero."

Later in a tweet, Vineet tagged Anupam and Piyush and wrote, "We could work on an all shark deal because for me this is not a company but a movement where we want to raise the consciousness of this country regarding disability." want to change."

He further added, “I did not go on Shark Tank to represent my company or to represent the community that has been the most marginalized, but one and only because this cause of livelihood requires that perspective Which is bigger than any of us."

"In fact my pitch clearly states that my vision for our company is to make Atypical Advantage obsolete when we get to a stage where everyone has equal opportunity. Let's work together towards that inclusive world," he wrote .
