Addressing the 75th Amrit Mahotsav of the Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan through video conferencing, Modi said while other parts of the world were identified with their ruling dynasties, the Indian identity was linked to its Gurukuls, holding knowledge supreme. The Prime Minister pointed out that even though the Gurukul Vidya Pratishthan started with only seven students in Rajkot, today it has forty branches across the globe attracting thousands of students from across the globe.

He further said that in the last 75 years, Gurukul has cultivated the minds and hearts of the students with good thoughts and values, leading to their all-round development.

"From students devoted in the field of spirituality to scientists from ISRO and BARC, the Gurukul tradition has nurtured every region of the country," he said.

The Prime Minister highlighted the practice of Gurukul where poor students are charged a fee of only Re 1, making it easier for them to get an education.

He remembered Nalanda and Taxila as synonymous with the ancient glory of India. "Discovery and research were an integral part of the Indian way of life. From self-discovery to divinity, from Ayurveda to spirituality, from social science to solar science, from mathematics to metallurgy and from zero to infinity, research and new findings in every field Extracted... India gave humanity rays of light in that dark age which paved the way for the journey of modern science to the world."

The Prime Minister also highlighted the gender equality and sensitivity of the ancient Indian Gurukul system and appreciated Swaminarayan Gurukul for starting 'Kanya Gurukul'.

PM Modi emphasized on the role of education system and educational institutions in shaping the bright future of India and said that in the golden age of independence, the country is moving forward at a fast pace to develop education infrastructure and policies in the country at all levels. is increasing.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the country has seen an increase in the number of IITs, IIITs, IIMs and AIIMS, and a sixty-five percent increase in the number of medical colleges as compared to the time before 2014.

He further said that with the new education policy, the country is preparing a future-oriented education system. As a result, the new generation who will get their education in the new system will make ideal citizens of the country.

PM Modi emphasized the importance of saints in the journey of the next 25 years. “Today India's resolutions are new and efforts are also being made to make them come true. Today the country is moving forward with the vision of Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local, 75 Amrit Sarovar in every district and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
