Baba Siddique was shot dead. A complete state funeral is now taking place in Bada Qabrastan, in the Mumbai suburbs, for Baba Siddique.
New Delhi: Baba Siddique, 66, a member of the National Congress Party (NCP)'s Ajit Pawar wing and a three-time Bandra West MLA, was shot and killed in Bandra East, Mumbai, yesterday night. Near the workplace of his son Zeeshan, Mr. Siddique was shot at least six times; four of those bullets struck him in the chest.
Over the course of the Dussehra celebrations, three guys opened fire. According to reports, the two suspects detained in connection with Mr. Siddique's murder have declared their membership in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The murder was committed even though the minister had the "Y" protection, although the gang has not yet admitted guilt. Authorities believe it to be a contract killing.
At Bada Qabrastan, in Mumbai lines, Baba Siddique's burial with full state honors is now in progress.
