EURO Cup Final: Spain defeated England 2-1 to win a record-tying fourth European Championship championship. English dreams were shattered when Spanish player Oyarzabal scored a goal in the 87th minute of the final game played in Germany.

EURO Cup Final: After overcoming England 2-1 in the decider, Spain won the European Championship for a record-tying fourth time. Mikel Oyarzabal, a Spanish player, scored in the 87th minute of a thrilling game on Sunday in Berlin, Germany. His goal, which came only minutes before the game's conclusion, helped the Spanish side win the championship once again. Additionally, the Spanish squad won the Euro Cup in 1964, 2008, and 2012.

Despite having excellent performance throughout the competition, England lost in the championship game.

Oyarzabal scored from Marc Cucurella's cross in the closing seconds of the Euro Cup final match in Berlin's Olympiastadion, a stadium constructed for the 1936 Olympics. His goal came just before extra time seemed certain in the tight match between England and Spain, who were tied at one goal each. This is also due to England's outstanding performance during this year's competition, which made their win seem all but assured at one point. Following their heartbreaking elimination from the Euro Cup, England's national squad is now among the weakest in the world.

17-year-old player's contribution to the game's first goal

But Spain crushed England's dreams by winning a record-tying fourth European Championship. This means that the England squad, which lost 2-1, will have to endure a torturous wait that has lasted for decades. The equalizer, scored in the 73rd minute by replacement Cole Palmer, pulled England within one goal against zero at one point. Nico Williams opened the scoring in the 47th minute of the game after a great assist from Lamin Yamal, a promising 17-year-old football player from Spain.

The arrival of Prince William of the British royal family was seen by King Felipe of Spain.

The men's team from England has lost the championship game in the last two years of the competition. England hasn't been able to win a major football tournament or trophy in the previous 58 years since its World Cup victory in 1966. Prince William, a member of the British royal family, attended the match after the England team—which was playing well in the Euro Cup 2024—reached the final, but he was also let down. During the final game, King Felipe of Spain was also there. Prince Williams was spotted covering his face with his hands when the referee blew the final whistle of the contest. His teammates comforted him by giving him hugs.

Players from Spain rejoice after their historic victory.

After winning, 32-year-old Spanish football player Dani Carvajal lost it and collapsed on the pitch. His teammates were ecstatic as well. Following the historic victory, the crowd was addressed by Spanish football players Dani Olmo, Marc Cucurella, and Yamal. These players joined the Spanish supporters at the eastern end of the stadium to celebrate their win.
