Study: 1,000+ connections from unique domains are present on 96% of the websites in Google's top 10 rankings

According to the current analysis, none of the top 10 websites had less than 50 backlinks, and only 0.3% of them had fewer than 100.

Can you get a top 10 Google ranking with almost any links? Not based on a recent study that Internet Marketing Ninjas released today. It discovered that:

More than 1,000 backlinks from distinct domains were present on more than 96% of the websites that appeared in Google's top 10.

A mere 0.3% had less than 100 backlinks.

Why it matters to us. Links are no longer among the top three ranking criteria, according to Google, which states that "very few links are required to rank pages." Nonetheless, it is evident that highly ranked websites often have more backlinks. However, it's also true that since they rank so well, websites with good rankings often get a lot more backlinks.

Other intriguing results from the study of backlinks are as follows:

For 164 out of the 200 terms, Amazon was in the top 10; Walmart came in second (57).

With 54 referring domains, the "weakest" site was rated sixth.

For local search phrases, an average of 164 distinct domain backlinks seems to be the "minimum required to rank in the top 10" for the bottom 10 sites.

However. The research points out that not every relationship is equally valuable. The value of a link may be affected by a number of factors, such as whether or not people click on the links, the authority of the website connecting to it, and the anchor text.

Regarding the information. Based on an investigation of the top 10 Google Search results for 200 randomly selected commercial purpose search phrases—a total of 1,113 distinct websites—the findings are presented.
