Five troops were carried away by a river in Ladakh

In the Nyoma-Chushul region of Ladakh, early on Saturday morning, a terrible occurrence occurred close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). During an exercise, five Indian Army troops were crossing a river in a T-72 tank when unexpected flash floods forced the vehicle to collapse. There were four Jawans and one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) among the men on board.

The tragedy happened near Mandir Morh, which is around 148 kilometers away from the base of the region.

In order to find and rescue the troops stranded in the river, rescue efforts got on right away. Officials are keeping a tight eye on the situation and are waiting for further information while the troops' recovery attempts continue.
