We deliver on the promises made in our manifesto: PM Modi on UCC, One Nation, One Election

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his administration would carry out the One Nation, One Election, and Uniform Civil Code plans if he is re-elected. These plans are a direct result of the BJP's election agenda.

The prime minister told PTI in an interview that he has extended the 100-day plan by 25 days for his second term in order to get input from the nation's young on what they want to see from the government as soon as it takes back office.

Prior to the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, Modi had instructed all ministries to create a 100-day plan outlining the projects that will be carried out by the next administration.

"And now that I've added 25 more days to this schedule, I'll be using the advice of Yuva Shakti, an Indian goddess. What are they expecting us to do as soon as we regain control? In the end, I'm here to fulfill their hopes and advance their vision for the country's development," he said.

In response to a question on whether One Nation, One Election, and a central UCC law will be included in the 100-day effort, Modi said that they were all included in the BJP's program for the Lok Sabha elections and that "we fulfil our manifesto promises."

"You would have realized that this is not the first time that I have joined the election race with the vision for the first 100 days of the new administration if you had watched me and my working style. Since my tenure as Gujarat's chief minister, I have been doing this," Modi said.

He said that the administration started working on his plan the day it took power, and that he had it in mind even in 2014 and 2019.

"In 2019, in the first 100 days of our government, important steps such as abrogation of Article 370 happened and the law prohibiting triple talaq was passed," he said.

In a similar vein, we have already started making plans for the first 100 days of our next third term. Beginning after June 4, the scheme will guarantee prompt and significant decision-making, according to Modi.

"We're going to go right to it and not waste any time. This is how quickly our government operates. The prime minister said, "We have always believed in strategic planning as well as forward-thinking.
