If 'Modi-Shah sarkar' regains power, democracy would collapse, according to Congress chairman Kharge

"If you want to keep alive the Constitution, the right to vote for women, labourers or farmers, therefore vote for the Congress and its 'panja' (hand) symbol," Kharge addressed the crowd.

On Sunday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that the nation's democracy would cease if "Modi-Shah sarkar" regained power.

Addressing a public gathering in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, Kharge specifically mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming that they will also repeal the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Constitution. "If you want to keep alive the Declaration of Independence, the right to vote for women, labourers and farmers, then voting for the Congress and its 'panja' (hand) symbol," Kharge said to the crowd.

"If Modi-Shah's government comes to power, democracy will end," Kharge said while speaking at a public gathering in Satna in favor of Congress candidate Siddharth Kushwaha. Kharge also attacked Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Shah for accepting "corrupt" people inside the BJP till they left to join other parties.

The Congress leader said that Shah seemed to have a "big laundry with a washing machine to wash those who are corrupt" before to admitting them into the BJP. On April 26, Satna will host the Lok Sabha election.
