Vijay from Thalapathy joins politics and forms the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam party
The Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam party is expected to make its political debut in the 2026 state elections, according to Tamil superstar "Thalapathy" Vijay.
Tamil actor Joseph Vijay, often known as "Thalapathy" or "Commander" Vijay, said on Friday that he will be entering politics by announcing his political organization, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam." The Victorious Tamil Union came into being.
The actor released a statement saying that the party would, however, not run in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and will instead make its political debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
He said, "Given the current political climate, which separates people on the basis of caste, religion, and corruption is evident everywhere, I am aiming for a corruption-free, progressive, and secular government."
