According to Kota District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami, the hostel was found to be in violation of the rules designed to ensure the safety of students, hence the district government took action against it.

After a student allegedly hanged himself in his dorm room last month, the Additional District Magistrate Court launched an investigation.
