According to ANI, Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, has authorized a 4% rise in dearness allowance (DA) for state workers and retirees. The DA of state workers has been raised from 42 to 46 percent under a directive issued by the state finance department.


The already announced DA increase for administrative departments

The Uttarakhand government had previously declared a rise in DA for staff members working in administrative departments of public undertakings and businesses, according to an official announcement dated December 31, 2023.


Employees in the fifth and sixth pay grades as well as the seventh revised pay scale would benefit from Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey's directive, according to an official announcement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).


Employee dearness allowance has raised from 38 percent to 42 percent in the seventh revised pay scale. Furthermore, there has been a rise for personnel in the fifth and sixth pay tiers, going from 21% to 21% and 396 to 412 percent, respectively.


Employees receiving dearness allowance on the sixth pay grade until July 1, 2022 will get a raise in allowance, which will go from 203% to 21%.


Soon, the Uniform Civil Code will be put into effect.

The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) would shortly be tabled in the Assembly and adopted in Uttarakhand, according to Chief Minister Dhami's announcement.


The design and application of personal laws that will be equally applicable to all citizens, irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, or religion, is suggested by the Uniform Civil Code.
