The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it would begin offering psychological counseling services to students on January 1, 2024, demonstrating its commitment to putting students' mental health first.


The action was done in advance of the approaching board examinations, which are expected to include theoretical papers starting on February 15 and practical tests starting on January 1. The Board's dedication to helping kids and their parents during a difficult time is shown by this program.


Beginning on January 1, 2024, CBSE will provide psychological therapy services to parents and kids. The dates of the theoretical and practical paper exams are set for January 1 and February 15, respectively. For the convenience of pupils, psychological therapy has been arranged appropriately, according to a press statement from CBSE.


The topics covered by counseling services include time management, coping mechanisms, stress and anxiety reduction, and stress management. Counselors will also provide advice on academic and professional alternatives, helping to create a pleasant atmosphere for all kids.


Among the services offered is a free IVRS facility that parents and children may use around-the-clock by calling the Board at 1800-11-8004. This provides information and advice in both Hindi and English on topics like as managing time and stress, preparing for examinations without stress, commonly asked questions (FAQs), preventing Covid, crucial contact information for CBSE offices, etc.


Additionally, the CBSE website will provide multilingual audio on the same subjects in addition to a free, voluntary telecounselling service that is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. She leaves. Saturday.
