A fresh scandal involving three Maldivian politicians who disparaged Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently erupted between India and the Maldives.

Amid the diplomatic spat with India, President Mohammed Muizzu of the Maldives released a forceful statement on Saturday. Although the Maldives is a tiny nation, Mohammed Muizzoo said that this does not give anybody "permission" to "bully" us. Speaking at the Velana International Airport (VIA) during his five-day journey to China, the president of the Maldives made his comments. Three Maldivian politicians' disparaging remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi have sparked a new crisis between India and the Maldives.

Social media users voiced their disapproval of remarks made against Prime Minister Modi, leading to a wave of boycotts of the Maldives. The Maldives removed three ministers from their positions and took other appropriate measures against them, but many Indians called off their trips to the Maldives with high-ranking officials and asked that their countrymen come to our islands, such as Lakshadweep.

The president of the Maldives said in his speech that the biggest portion of the ocean is located in the Maldives and that it does not belong to any one nation.

"Even if there are a few little islands in this ocean, our exclusive economic zone spans a massive 9,00,000 square kilometers. One of the nations with the biggest portion of this ocean is the Maldives. There is no nation that claims ownership of this ocean. Muhammad Muizzu was cited by the news outlet Times of India as stating, "This ocean also belongs to all the countries located in it."

"Not in the backyard of anyone"

Mohammed Muizzu responded angrily when questioned about remarks that the Maldives are in India's backyard. The President indicated that the Maldives is an independent, independent nation and that we are not from anyone's backyard.

Mohammed Muizzu poked fun at the former Maldivian government by stating that it used to acquire permission from a foreign nation "before getting up from a chair" and sit on the other, while affirming that the Maldives-China relationship is founded on the principles of "non-interference".

Following his election to the Maldives on the platform of the "India-Out" campaign, Mohammed Muizzu has taken a number of actions to indicate that he would be competing with China for control of the Indian Ocean area.
