It was alleged that eight young people had expressed unease during their Wednesday midnight meal at the hotel. The hotel is closed under police orders.

Following reports of discomfort from eight young people who ate meals from a Kalamassery hotel on Wednesday night, the food safety department and the health wing of the Kalamassery Municipality have not discovered any signs of potential food poisoning. had voiced a grievance.

The food safety department is expected to produce a report on Friday that would absolve the restaurant of any charges related to food poisoning, even though the municipal health wing has already sent a report to the Kalamassery police, who have opened a case in response to the young person's complaint. The police have ordered the hotel to shut, and the owner has been told to hold off until they have received both reports.

The young person had visited Ernakulam General Hospital for treatment. Since none of them exhibited persistent symptoms suggestive of food poisoning, the doctor declined to order the stool culture test necessary to confirm food poisoning. Sources in the food safety department said that just two of them reported vomiting before receiving shots.

Health and food safety authorities conducted an inquiry and discovered that the hotel was operating properly, despite the fact that the event happened at approximately 12.15am and the inspection wasn't completed until around 9am. "Everyone else has not eaten, except for the eight. The hotel also voiced its displeasure about any disruption. “The hotel had no history of serving stale food in the past,” health authorities stated.
