In ninety days, 15 lakh people attended the Dussehra Expo

About 15 lakh visitors saw the Dussehra display in Mysuru over the course of ninety days.

The display lasted from the day last year's major Dussehra holiday got off till Friday.

"This year's exhibition has been made a huge success as more than 15 lakh tourists have visited since its inception," remarked Srivatsa, an MLA.

Speaking at the exhibition's closing ceremony, which was hosted by the Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) at this place, he said that visitors travel from far and wide to this exhibition because it is well-known for its entertainment value and variety. The exhibition is one of the festival's main draws. "I believe the exhibition is a success. I've been informed that the booth owners made considerable money and that business at the stalls was good.

Awarding the exhibits were the State Government, Central Government, Boards and Corporations, as well as District Panchayats on this particular occasion.

On weekends and on public holidays, the number of people would rise.

In attendance were department leaders, Balwant Rao Patil, Joint Director of Kannada and Culture, as well as KEA CEO Rajesh Gowda.

One of the biggest draws of the annual Dussehra celebration, which the city organizes, is the exhibition, which takes place on the exhibition grounds. But after Dussehra, little happens and the grounds are mostly deserted. Better use of the prime expo area in the city center would enable the Mysuru-based Karnataka Exhibition Authority to continue making money. The idea of planning shows or activities for every day of the year was put out to keep students and faculty active on campus.

When the BJP administration was in power, a plan to create "Mysore Haat" at the exhibition grounds in the style of Delhi Tourism's "Dilli Haat" was put out. However, the proposal never got off the ground since ₹130 crore was needed to build permanent buildings at the site in order to realize the idea of a 365-day show.
