A photograph of a Rs. 500 note is being circulated on social media with a statement that is becoming popular. There is an allegation that any memo you may have of this kind is fraudulent. In addition, messages are being sent to the public urging them not to accept these kinds of communications. But the truth emerged after this whole issue was looked at.


What was wrong?


A note containing 500 rupees is going viral. There are reportedly 500 rupee notes in circulation on the market that have this emblem. These notes were given back to Indusind Bank. This letter is phony. Even today, a client sent in two or three of these messages; nevertheless, they were promptly returned out of caution. The client adds that he received this message from someone else.


'Be alert,' is scrawled below. The quantity of persons using phony notes to wander the market has increased. There is a * symbol between the note's number in the image of the Rs 500 note that was posted on social media.


What is the real deal?


In response, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) refuted this. Additionally, the meaning of the '*' symbol on PIB's official 'X' handle has been made public. "Do you have a Rs 500 note with the symbol?" PIB wrote. Do you think it's a fake as well? Remain calm. It is untrue to say that these notes are counterfeit. Since December 2016, Rs 500 notes with a star (*) have been in circulation.
