New Delhi: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the security breach in Parliament is a grave matter that should not be taken lightly. On the anniversary of the terror assault on Parliament in 2001, there was a significant security breach.


Prime Minister Modi described the security lapse at Parliament as painful and concerning in his first statements after the events on December 13. He urged for no debate on the matter in Parliament amid opposition resistance.


He said, "An effort should also be made to find a solution in a collective spirit."


In an interview with a Hindi newspaper, he said, "It is best for everyone to refrain from fighting on such issues."


According to the prime minister, authorities are looking into the event and are acting harshly.


"It is important not to minimize the gravity of the incident that occurred in Parliament," he said. Additionally, the Speaker is acting seriously and taking the required actions."


Two individuals sprang from the public gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber earlier this week during the Zero Hour proceedings, spewing yellow smoke. A few of the House's MPs chastised him.
