You'll be pleased to hear that, in accordance with IRCTC regulations, a traveler may, under certain circumstances, get a full refund upon canceling a confirmed ticket.

It's a common knowledge that once a train ticket is verified and the chart is made, it cannot be canceled.

That being said, you may be wondering what the IRCTC's return policy is. You'll be relieved to hear that in some cases, you may get your whole refund even if you decide to cancel the confirmed ticket after the chart is prepared.

Why are tickets that have been verified being canceled?

Actually, Indian Railways provides specific facilities for travelers traveling by train. Such circumstances often occur when a confirmed ticket has to be canceled.

The traveler may submit a TDR, or ticket deposit receipt, in this case to get their money back. However, the cause for the ticket cancellation is important to get a complete refund.
