Current FD rates: ICICI and HDFC, two private sector banks, have adjusted their FD interest rates. Actually, as of today, December 6, the modifications made by both institutions are operative. The interest rate on FDs is now up to Rs 2-5 crore, according to ICICI Bank.

ICICI Bank


For FDs of seven to fourteen days, the interest rate for all residents will be 4.75 percent.

On FD of 61-90 days, the interest rate for all people will be 6%.

All residents will pay 7.05 percent interest on FDs with terms ranging from 18 months to 2 years.

All people will pay a 7 percent interest rate on FDs with terms of three to five years.

On FDs with terms of five to ten years, the interest rate for regular residents will be 7%.


HDFC Bank


For FDs lasting seven to fourteen days, the interest rate will be 4.75 percent for all residents, varying in quantities.

For all residents on FD of 61-89 days, the lowest interest rate will be 4.75 percent, and the maximum would be 6 percent.

For all residents on FD of 21 months to 2 years, the lowest interest rate will be 5%, and the maximum will be 7.05 percent.

For all residents on FD of three to five years, the lowest interest rate will be five percent, and the maximum will be seven percent.

For all residents on FD of five to ten years, the lowest interest rate will be five percent, and the maximum will be seven percent.
