Countless fans assemble to see the Deal or No Deal player
For a Deal or No Deal participant who discussed his struggle with a life-limiting illness, more than £42,000 has been raised.
Brad Vale, a motor neurone disease sufferer from Wolverhampton, told broadcaster Stephen Mulhern that if he won, he would attempt to cross something off his bucket list.
However, another competitor Rochelle Brown, 30, has started a fundraising to support her goal despite earning only £5 on the relaunched ITV game show.
Thousands more contributions started to come in few days, surpassing the £20,000 goal.
Mr. Vale, who is now residing in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, said to Radio WM, "It's so overwhelming that I really can't believe it. I have no words."
"I never anticipated anything like this; I took £5 and that was it; I was happy enough with it to take it.
"I feel honored, blessed and guilty at the same time."
A uncommon disease called motor neuron disease (MND) damages the brain and nerves, resulting in progressive paralysis.
According to the NHS, MND cannot be cured at this time, however therapy may lessen its effects on a patient's day-to-day activities.
"This is how they live."
The GoFundMe campaign was established by Ms. Brown, who said that she "instantly clicked" with Mr. Vale after they met during a show audition. The episode aired on November 30.
"I wanted to keep the pace up following its show; it's an hour show for everyone at home, but it's Brad's life," the Scunthorpe contender said.
It doesn't end when the camera stops recording.
"He really deserves to achieve his goals and fulfill his dreams."
