On Thursday, Suzlon, a developer of renewable solutions, announced that Aprava Energy has awarded it a 300 MW wind power project.

At the customer's location in Karnataka, Suzlon will build 100 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW, according to a statement from the firm.

A fresh order for the development of a 300 MW wind power project for Aprava Energy Private Limited has been awarded to Suzlon Group, according to the announcement.

Suzlon has agreed to provide the wind turbines and oversee the project, including commissioning.

After commissioning, Suzlon will also provide thorough operation and maintenance services.

"We are delighted to collaborate with Aprava once more as they have been a longstanding customer of ours," said Suzlon Group vice chairman Girish Tanti in the statement.

"Whilst the project itself is part of the SECI (tranche XIV) auction, the power created through this project will be used by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) to foster a greater penetration of renewable energy. "Will be done to support energy in the country," stated J P Chalsani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group.

"We look forward to an ongoing cooperation with Suzlon, benefiting from their expertise, rich experience, and unparalleled indigenous solutions," said Rajeev Ranjan Mishra, Managing Director of Aprava Energy. A project of this magnitude may save 9.75 lakh tons of CO2 emissions annually and provide power to 2.47 lakh houses.
