The mobile device linked with a USB cord is not recognized by the TV
Important note: Not all cellphones can be connected by USB; this guide is intended just for Xperia® devices.
Ensure that the TV has the most recent software updates installed.
Both your mobile device and TV need to have the USB cord firmly attached.
Verify whether data transmission is supported by the USB cable. USB cords intended solely for charging should not be used.
Adjust your mobile device's settings to Mass Storage Class (MSC) if the device implements Media Transfer Protocol (MTP).
Remark:
Depending on the TV type, Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) may be used.
Consult the included handbook for your mobile device's specs and setup procedures.
Using the XperiaTM Z3's MSC connection settings:
Press the Settings button from the Home screen.
Choose the connectivity for Xperia.
Choose the USB connection method under the USB Connectivity category.
Go to Mass Storage Mode (MSC) and choose.
Note: It's conceivable that the internal memory does not support MSC if the mobile device is still not recognized. Move data (images, etc.) to a removable memory device, such as an SD card.
If the problem persists, try a different connection technique. See the page on mirroring, casting, and displaying mobile device content or screens on TV screens.
