Furthermore, the availability of waiting tickets in the Tatkal quota for the third AC of AC Express ceased. The longest waiting list is on Wednesday for trains departing from Lucknow for the Chhath festival and traveling to Bihar and Purvanchal. Big city air rates have also gone up thrice.

The Tatkal quota AC chair car waiting list at Lucknow-New Delhi Shatabdi Express grew to 56 people in only two minutes. Lucknow, Ayodhya Cantonment-Delhi Express's Sleeper Regret, AC Third to 27, AC Second to 11, New Delhi AC Express's AC Third Economy decreased to 32, AC Second to 37.
In a same vein, the waiting lists for Lucknow Mail itself were 25 in AC second, 31 in AC third, 23 in AC third economy, and 84 in Tatkal quota. Additionally, there was a waiting list of 33 people for Gomti Express's second seating class, 10 for the AC chair car, and 2 for the AC second.
Pushpak Express between Lucknow and Mumbai was in a similar situation. In this train as well, in a matter of seconds, the AC third economy waiting time was 57, the sleeper waiting time was 67 for the Kushinagar Express, and the AC third economy waiting time was 17.
In the second AC and third AC, the Tatkal waiting of the Lucknow Junction-Pune Express rose to six and eighteen, respectively. Long wait times in the sleeper and AC classes of the Tatkal quota have also made passengers more uneasy on the Lucknow-Chandigarh Express.
The premium Tatkal fare went up as well.
Along with pricey premium Tatkal tickets, passengers also purchased Pushpak Express trains headed for Mumbai. The Pushpak Express AC second tatkal ticket premium was Rs 4595, while the AC third economy ticket premium was Rs 3495. The standard Mumbai cost for this train is Rs 2385 for AC second class and Rs 1560 for AC third economy. Kushinagar Express's second AC ticket sold for Rs 4,000 and its third AC economy ticket for Rs 2860.
Additionally, airfare rose.
On Wednesday, the cost of Indigo flight 6E-2108 to return to Delhi from Lucknow after Diwali was Rs 5599, while the cost of flying 6E-2243 was Rs 9639. This fee stays in the range of three thousand rupees on typical days. In a similar vein, the Mumbai 6E-5241 ticket was Rs 10232.
Railway mismanagement also proved expensive.
Between Lucknow and Delhi, Railways used to operate two special trains each year. Approximately 4,000 people on the waiting list were relieved as a result. The Railway Board has received a request from the Northern Railway Lucknow Division Administration to operate a special train from Lucknow to Delhi this time. The board decided not to operate a special train from Lucknow in spite of this suggestion.
