 In the field of wind energy, Odisha receives investment bids totaling Rs 4,940 crore


Prospective investors met one-on-one with top government officials and representatives of the state nodal agency GRIDCO at the event. at these discussions, several investors guaranteed a proposal for funding of Rs 4,940 crore for a 575 MW wind energy capacity.


During his presentation, Rajesh Katyal, the Director General of the National Academy of Renewable Energy (NIWE), pledged NIWE's complete cooperation and technical assistance in order to fully use the state's wind power potential.

According to a government official, investors have submitted investment proposals totaling Rs 4,940 crore to the Odisha government for wind energy projects.


This was highlighted, according to the official, on November 3 in Bhubaneswar whenever the "Odisha Wind Energy Summit Investor Round Table" was arranged by GRIDCO, a state government undertaking alongside the coordinating body for the development of renewable energy, in conjunction with its technical partner iFOREST. The purpose of the event was to investigate potential investment possibilities in the wind power sector.

The summit, which brought together important stakeholders in the wind power generation and manufacturing industry, drew participation from up to 25 prominent investors nationwide.


In his keynote speech, Chief Secretary PK Jena stressed the state's commitment to provide the wind sector with complete assistance so that it may construct manufacturing centers and power plants in Odisha.


VK Dev, the secretary of finance and energy, also expressed optimism that the summit will undoubtedly be a significant milestone in Odisha's ambitious path to realizing the sector's potential, ambition, and purpose.


The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's Joint Secretary, Dinesh Dayanand Jagdale, commended the state government for its proactive efforts in bringing OREP-2022's mission to life and reaching clean and green energy objectives.
