In the nine months of the previous 2022–2023 fiscal year, it produced 10.282 MT, the business said in a statement on Thursday.


NTPC produced 19.117 million tonnes (MT) of coal through its captive mines between April and October of the current fiscal year, an 86% increase over the previous year.

Furthermore, as of October 31, FY24, NTPC has sent 20.225 MT of coal, a 94% increase over deliveries made during the same time last year.


"This exceptional achievement reflects NTPC's relentless commitment to further improve coal production from its privately owned mines and ensure efficient supply of coal to fulfill the nation's energy needs," stated the business.


Subordinate to the Ministry of Power, the biggest power production company in India is NTPC.
