US Vice President Biden promises 'rock solid' support for Israel while denouncing strikes by the Palestinian militant group Hamas

According to AFP, US President Joe Biden pledged "rock solid" support for Israel and denounced terrorist assaults carried out by the Palestinian militant group Hamas. He also hinted that the US would soon disclose military aid to Israel.

In response to these terrorist attacks, Biden called the situation "a terrible tragedy on a human level" and declared that the United States "stands with the people of Israel." Israel has the right to protect its own interests and those of its citizens. Terrorist acts can never be justified, and my administration is steadfast in its support for Israel's security. He disclosed that he had spoken with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, to express his support.

US commitment was expressed by Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, who said that the country would do its best to make sure Israel has the necessary defense supplies.

A senior administration official in the US said that talks on military support were already under way between US and Israeli officials and that a statement by the US might occur as early as Sunday.

Biden warned that "this is not the time for any party hostile to Israel to take advantage of these attacks" as tensions threatened to rise. The entire globe is looking. In response to attacks by Hamas, which is sponsored by Iran, he claimed Israel has "a right to defend itself."

The senior administration source confirmed that Hamas received cash, supplies, and weapons from Iran and other countries but added that it was "too early to say" if Iran was "directly involved" in the massive attack.

After speaking with Mahmud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, US envoy Antony Blinken "called on all leadership in the region to condemn" the attack on Israel. Hamas' adversary is Abbas' Fatah faction, which is located in the West Bank.

Former President Donald Trump charged Biden with supporting the attacks covertly. According to Trump, "Sadly, American dollars from taxpayers helped fund these attacks, whom many reports believe came from the Biden Administration."

Trump's allegations coincided with Republican charges that the $6 billion that was recently released to Iran as part of a prisoner swap agreement was misused to pay for the Hamas attack.

In a response posted to social media, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates called this claim "a shameful lie that deserves every respect, at a time whenever both parties should be utterly united in supporting Israel's defense." He made it clear that the money was intended for definite humanitarian causes, such the provision of food and medication.
