Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan claims the "INDIA bloc is a real challenge" and that the BJP "takes all polls seriously."

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan stated on Friday that the opposition INDIA alliance is a "real challenge" and that he has asked his party to enable him to run in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from his native state of Odisha.

Rajya Sabha member Pradhan said in an interview with PTI that the BJP does not treat elections lightly and that its top priority is to guarantee that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is given a third term in office.

"The BJP and the NDA do not treat any election lightly, therefore I see it (the INDIA bloc) as a significant threat. The prime minister leads us from the front, offers a report card of his work, appeals to the people, and exposes the false claims and double standards of the opposition. Everyone, from grassroots activists to top officials, takes each election extremely seriously.

"Some individuals form partnerships out of greed, conceit, or fear. Without guiding ideals, they establish coalitions. Our tireless efforts are directed at winning the people's blessings through toil, he remarked.

The minister responded to a question about whether he intended to run for office in the Lok Sabha by saying, "I have already told the party about my intention and have asked it to give me a chance. The BJP's aim is to make sure Prime Minister Narendra Modi is given a third term in office.

Regarding the women's reservation bill, Pradhan said that Prime Minister Modi has set an example by granting the nation's mothers and sisters political rights.

"The Congress failed to support the women's reservation measure while it was in power and allowed it to expire. It had not been possessed by anybody. It had the chance to pass the law, but it chose not to, he said.

Why didn't they take action? Particularly the Congress party, you arrived in 2008 and allowed it to expire in 2014. Who prevented you? You never have the dedication to complete it, he continued.

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, was criticized by Pradhan for calling for a countrywide caste census, saying he and his "family party" should provide a full account of what they accomplished for the OBCs and weaker groups during the last 75 years.

Opportunistic politics refers to those who criticize others for not carrying out their obligations. You took no action, he said.
