Dussehra 2023: The opposition Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena and the government Shiv Sena will host demonstrations during this year's festival of lights at Azad Maidan and Shivaji Park, respectively. In the midst of this, the Dussehra rallies have prompted a traffic caution from the Mumbai Traffic Police. Additionally, limitations are in place for the South Africa vs. Bangladesh ICC World Cup 2023 match as well as the immersion of Durga idols.




An official was quoted by news agency PTI as saying that more than 15,000 Mumbai police officers would be on patrol at the locations of Dussehra demonstrations of opposing Shiv Sena units, a World Cup game, and to supervise the immersion of Goddess Durga. Around the financial capital, he added, there are up to 12,449 lower-rank employees, 2,496 cops, 45 assistant police commissioners, 16 deputy police commissioners, and six additional police commissioners on duty. Along with the Mumbai police, the official said that 33 State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) platoons (each with around 100 members), Quick Response Teams, and Home Guards are being called into service for the city's many events.


Advice On Traffic For Dussehra Rallies

No cars will be permitted on the following roads during the Sena UBT protest in Shivaji Park: SVS Road from Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction towards Kapad Bazar Junction; from Raja Badhe Chowk junction to Dadar's Keluskar Marg (North) junction; Mahim's Lt. Dilip Gupte Road Junction on Pandurang Naik Marg to earn Southbound traffic; Gadkari Chowk junction to Dadar's Keluskar Road (south); Dadasahaeb Rege Road According to Senapati Bapat Statue to Gadkari Junction, in accordance with media reports.


MB Raut Road, Pandurang Naik Marg, Dadasaheb Rege Marg, Lt. Dilip Gupte Marg, NC Kelkar Marg, LJ Road, Rajabade Junction, and Gadkari Junction are among the Dadar and surrounding locations where parking is prohibited, according to reports in the media.


These routes will be blocked during the Shiv Sena's Dasara Melawa at Azad Maidan:


Vasudev Balawant Phadake Chowk (Metro Junction) to Mahapalika Marg (CSMT Junction) both bound;


Vasudev Balawant Phadake Chowk (Metro Junction) to Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (O. C. S. Junction) both bound by Mahatma Gandhi Marg.


Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (O.C.S Junction) to CSMT Junction along the Hajarimal Somani Marg.


Road to CSMT via Falton


According to the warning, parking is prohibited on MG Road, Hajarimal Somani Marg, and Mahapalika Marg.


Warning about Immersion in Durga Maa Idols

According to the Mumbai Traffic Police, entrance of large vehicles would be prohibited in Greater Mumbai from October 24th to October 25th from 7 a.m. The only exceptions are cars that are absolutely necessary and those that are transporting people to the Dussehra Melava.

According to the Mumbai Traffic Police, parking restrictions will be in effect on THIS route on October 25 from 11 am to 12 am:


North side of "C" Road from its intersection with NS. Road to its intersection with "E" Road;
