Shubman Gill has been released from the hospital and is eligible to play in India vs. Pakistan's World Cup 2023 match

After receiving treatment for dengue, Shubman Gill was released from the hospital, according to the Hindustan Times. Cricbuzz had previously reported that he had been checked into a hospital in Chennai.

The article further stated that Dr. Rizwan Khan, the designated physician chosen by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to travel with the team, was still keeping a close eye on him as he was being treated by hospital medical staff.

Shubman Gill has been receiving drip care in the Chennai team hotel for a few days. However, his platelet count fell to 70,000, and as is the case with dengue patients, you are admitted to a hospital as a precaution if the count falls below 100,000. On Sunday night, when India played Australia, he was admitted for all essential tests, but by Monday night, he had been discharged, according to a BCCI source who spoke to PTI under the condition of anonymity.

Can Shubman Gill face Pakistan on the field?

Despite being released, he is still questionable for the Pakistan game on October 14 in the ICC World Cup 2023. His next opportunity to play will be against Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune if he misses the Pakistan game scheduled for the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Before the ICC World Cup 2023, Shubman Gill had been in fantastic form, and experts had high hopes for him. But it appears that fate had other ideas. In any case, India will anticipate utilizing him as a great opener alongside Rohit Sharma in the final rounds if he heals well. Indian supporters are fervently hoping that their country will advance to that point, compete in every game, and win the championship. If that has to happen, Gill can have a significant impact.
