 Seventh Pay Commission: DA was raised by 4% again, and the government said that they will get perks


Seventh Pay Commission: States have also started preparing to raise their workers' Dearness Allowance (DA) prior to Diwali. Announcements have also been made by several states. Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, has said in this series that state government workers' dearness allowance would be raised by 4%.


What is the permitted amount? According to Manohar Lal Khattar, the Center has raised the government employee DA from 42% to 46%. The Haryana government has also chosen to raise DA by 4% before to Diwali, keeping this decision in mind. According to the Chief Minister, state government workers would get higher DA effective on July 1, 2023. In Haryana, this judgment would help over 3.5 lakh workers.


The Center also declared: The Central Government has declared an increase in allowances. The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has authorized the distribution of Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners and an extra payment of DA to Central Government workers, from July 01, 2023. Thanks to this 4 percent increase, the limit has now risen to 46 percent.


Dearness relief and dearness allowance would have a combined annual effect of Rs 12,857 crore on the exchequer. About 67.95 lakh pensioners and 48.67 lakh central government workers would gain from this.
