November 2023 Bank Holidays: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published the November bank holiday schedule. The list indicates that banks in the states and union territories will be closed for a total of 15 days in November owing to various festivals and normal weekend vacations.

The list indicates that banks in the states and union territories will be closed for a total of 15 days in November owing to various festivals and normal weekend vacations. Nonetheless, clients may complete their job throughout the holidays by using ATMs and internet banking. Both public and private sector banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, per RBI directives. Banks will be closed nationwide for national holidays like Diwali and local festivities in November, in addition to usual Saturday and Sunday holidays.


On Wednesday, November 1, Karnataka, Manipur, and Himachal Pradesh banks closed for Kannada Rajyotsava/Karva Chauth.

Friday, November 10: Wangala Festival; Meghalayan banks are closed.

November 11: The Second On Saturday

Sunday, November 12: In observance of Diwali, banks will be closed.

On Monday, November 13, the banks in Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra will be closed for Govardhan Puja/Lakshmi Puja (Diwali).

Tuesday, November 14: Diwali (Bali Pratipada), Deepawali, and Vikram Sawant Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Sikkim banks are closed on New Year's Day and during Lakshmi Puja.

On November 15, a Wednesday, banks in Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh will be closed for Bhaidooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Lakshmi Puja (Diwali), Ningol Chakkouba, and Bhratridwitiya.

19 November – Sunday, November 20 (Monday): Bihar bank shuts for Chhath (morning Arghya).

Tuesday, November 23, Seng Kutsnem/Egas-Bagwal: Banks closed in Sikkim and Uttarakhand.

November 25, Thursday Banks are closed in Tripura, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, as well as Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, November 26 along with Sunday, November 27 (Monday).

On November 30, a Thursday, Karnataka banks closed in observance of Kanakadasa Jayanti.
