It's time to add Hamas to India's list of terrorist organizations, according to Israel's ambassador Naor Gilon

Israel's envoy to India, Naor Gilon, said that it was time to put Hamas to India's terror list and voiced dismay at the virtual attendance of former Hamas leader Khaled Mashal at a pro-Palestine demonstration on Sunday in Kerala.

The Israeli ambassador tweeted, "Unbelievable! In a post on X (previously Twitter). #HamasTerrorist Khaled Mashal uses the hashtag "Uproot bulldozer Hindutva & Apartheid Zionism" to address a gathering in Kerala from Qatar."

"Mashal calls supporters to: Take the streets and show anger, prepare over jihad (on Israel), support Hamas financially, disseminate Palestinian narrative on social media, and push to add #HamasISIS also to #India's terror list," he said.

Mashal participated remotely in the event, which was arranged by Kerala's Jamaat-e-Islami's youth branch, Solidarity Youth Movement. Speaking in Arabic, the former head of Hamas addressed the assembly.

Regarding the pro-Palestine demonstration and Mashal's virtual speech, BJP vice-president for Kerala VT Rema said that a bunch of Islamic terrorists "laid bare [their real mindset] in a secular India."

Rema said, "I was shocked to learn of this protest," in an interview with ANI. That a bunch of Islamic terrorists living in Kerala, our southernmost state, and a secular nation, so plainly exposed their true mentality, was abhorrent and very regrettable. Everyone is aware of the historic assaults that Hamas carried out on Israel, killing many innocent civilians.

The state president of the BJP, K Surendran, too had harsh words for the LDF administration. He said that such incidents are intolerable and that it is concerning that Hamas leader Khaled Mashel gave a virtual speech at the Solidarity gathering in Malappuram.

Pinarayi Vijayan's Kerala Police: where are they? Under the pretense of 'Save Palestine,' they are elevating the terrorist group Hamas and its leaders to the status of 'warriors.' This can't happen! Surendran wrote on X, "HMO India."

On Sunday, the Israel-Hamas conflict reached its 23rd day. India said that the draft resolution had no mention of the terrorist organization Hamas, thus it chose not to vote on a resolution at the UN General Assembly that called for an immediate end to the Israeli onslaught in Gaza in order to mobilize relief and humanitarian supplies to civilians.
