Israeli-Hamas War Results: 29 Americans Dead, 15 Missing, US
A spokeswoman for the US State Department acknowledged on Saturday that 29 US citizens had died in Hamas strikes in Israel.
Prior to this, 27 deaths related to the violence had been verified.
The official said that the US was "working around the clock" to ascertain the whereabouts of 15 citizens and one legal permanent resident who were believed to be missing.
According to the official, the US was collaborating with the Israeli government on every facet of the hostage situation, including exchanging information.
