Head of the Hindi and children's TV network at Viacom18, Nina Elavia Jaipuria, resigns

Nina Elavia Jaipuria, who oversaw Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd's Hindi and children's TV networks, has left the organization. The change was made two months after Manisha Sharma left her position as chief content officer for Hindi mass entertainment. Her departure was seen as the start of many departures from the media and entertainment company given Alok Jain's recent hiring as president and chief executive officer of Colors Hindi and regional and the fact that many senior executives were required to report to him.

At the end of this year, Nina Elavia Jaipuria will leave Viacom18 after overseeing the crucial businesses of Kids Entertainment and Hindi Mass Entertainment for 17 years in order to pursue her own objectives. In response to Mint's inquiries, a Viacom18 representative said: "We congratulate her for her effort in creating Viacom18 as a preferred entertainment destination and wish her the best in her future endeavors.

In 2006, Jaipuria began working for Viacom18 as the Nickelodeon business manager. She eventually expanded her portfolio to include the company's main Hindi mass entertainment production, which also included COLORS, Rishtey, and Rishtey Cineplex.

She had positions at Sony Entertainment Television as vice president of marketing and communication, senior product manager for customer acquisitions at BPL Mobile, and Lowe Lintas as account manager before joining Viacom18.

After working for Disney Star for over seven years, managing P&L for the company's Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, and Kannada cluster of TV channels as well as Disney+ Hotstar division, Jain joined Viacom18 last July. After working for Disney Star for 26 years as president of network entertainment channels, Kevin Vaz left the organization in April to take a position as head of TV business and digital for regional networks at Viacom18.
