During his two-day visit to Israel on October 19, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will meet with President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Later, he will visit "a number of other regional capitals," according to HT.

Sunak's visit comes after that of Biden on October 18 and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on October 17. The area will be visited as well, according to Emmanuel Macron, president of France, "as soon as I consider that we have a useful agenda and very concrete actions to drive forward."

Sunak's visit is a continuation of a line of international leaders who have taken the initiative to stop the Israel-Hamas conflict from escalating. Sunak's staff declined to say which additional nations will be included in his travel plans.

According to US President Joe Biden, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi intended to deliver around 20 truckloads of supplies to the Gaza Strip. Only on the condition that none of it would be transferred to the violent Hamas group did the Israeli authorities let humanitarian supplies into southern Gaza from Egypt.

On October 18, while Air Force One stopped in Germany for refueling, Biden said Sisi had reassured him over the phone that his trip to Israel would go well. Biden had already offered $100 million in US humanitarian assistance for Gaza and the West Bank residents. Additionally, he said that he will ask Congress to provide Israel "unprecedented support" as it gets ready to destroy Hamas. According to information provided by the Pentagon, Israel was not to blame for the explosion that occurred at a hospital in Gaza City on the night of October 17.

Biden will give a speech from the Oval Office on the evening of October 19 "to discuss our response to Hamas' terrorist attacks against Israel," the White House said on October 18. He would also discuss the continuing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

To repair the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Israel On October 19, Jack Lew, Biden's choice for ambassador to Israel, pledged to pursue pre-war talks in front of a Senate subcommittee.

When he returned to Washington after his visit to Israel, Biden stated that he planned to submit a supplemental request to Congress for about $100 billion, which would include defense funding for Israel and the Ukraine, border security funding, and aid to countries in the Indo-Pacific, including Taiwan.

A United Nations Security Council resolution on the war was rejected by the United States; the resolution was first proposed by Brazil. Russia and the United Kingdom did not participate in the vote, while the other 12 Security Council members did.

The plan planned to create "humanitarian pauses" to make it easier to get assistance to Gaza. It also denounced the assaults carried out by Hamas and designated the organization as "terrorists." According to Brazilian authorities, the resolution demanded the immediate release of civilian captives, according to HT.
